Utica Police respond to shots fired from out-of-state SUV

The Utica Police Department responded to a call around 9:35 a.m. Saturday morning for a report of shots fired from a dark colored SUV with out-of-state license plates, on the 1500 block of Dudley Ave. in Utica.

Investigators determined that the suspect in this case was Gill J. Cepeda, 22, and the shots were related to an argument that occurred earlier.

Cepeda was interviewed at police headquarters, and later charged with reckless endangerment in the 1st degree, according to police.

Investigators located two long guns in the SUV, which are in police custody as evidence.
