Utica Police will hold a news conference at 1:30 p.m. to discuss a significant development in the search for missing baby Levon Wameling.

It comes as authorities continue their search for Wameling, who was 9-months-old when he disappeared. State Police dive teams are currently searching a section of the Mohawk River, not far from a previous search area on Leland Avenue.

Utica Police confirmed the search, saying they were acting on information found during their investigation into the missing baby.

The boy's father, 27-year-old Jevon Wameling was recently arrested for a burglary in the Town of Oriskany in August.

CNYCentral will be at the news conference and will update as more information becomes available.
