Vacant house burns on Clyde Avenue; fire contained

Clyde Avenue House Fire

Syracuse firefighters were called to Clyde Avenue Saturday morning to put out a fire in a vacant house.

The call went out around 8:15 in the morning and firefighters headed over to the south side of Syracuse.

National Grid was also called to the scene because of concern about live electrical wires.

Our staff at the scene said the fire appeared to be under control around 9:00 a.m., but equipment remained on location at that time.
