Valley Dollar Tree armed robbery suspect still at large

Syracuse Police say a man with a silver handgun robbed the Dollar Tree along Syracuse's West Seneca Turnpike on Friday night, and they're asking for help tracking him down.

Syracuse Police have a good description of the man who held up the Dollar Tree store in Syracuse's Valley on Friday night.

The robber had a silver handgun and took money from a cash register. He's described as a black, 6-foot 1 inch man in his 30s, medium build, wearing a black hat, black and white checkered coat and gray pants with white sneakers.

The robbery happened at 8:10pm at the Dollar Tree on West Seneca Turnpike, in the plaza near Valley Drive. Police say he ran from the store, but don't have a direction of travel.
