Victim in Knaul Street shooting dies of her injuries

A 24-year-old woman has died of her injuries at Upstate University Hospital after being shot on Sunday afternoon on Knaul Street, according to Syracuse Police.
Police say Laquisha Paul was standing at the makeshift memorial to Karon Cole, who was shot and killed last Tuesday, when a suspect came out of 107 Knaul Street and shot the woman point blank.
The woman underwent emergency surgery at Upstate Hospital, but passed away on Sunday night.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a baseball cap, red shirt covering his face, white tee shirt, and jeans. He was last seen running north thru the rear yards behind 107 Knaul Street.

This is the same area where Karon Cole was shot and killed on July 16.
