Vigil for Truxton crash victims

Flowers and more at Friday night's vigil for the 7 victims of Wednesday's tractor trailer-minivan crash in Truxton.

Friends and relatives gathered in Truxton on Friday night, to remember the seven people killed in Wednesday night's crash, when their minivan was hit by a trailer that had come uncoupled from its truck on Route 13.

The vigil was being held, as the one survivor from the minivan, Shawn Mead, was released from the hospital.

Cortland County Sheriff's Deputies are still investigating, but say there was a mechanical failure in the truck's 5th wheel that allowed the trailer to uncouple.
