A Virginia man is arrested after Sheriffâ??s Deputies say he led them on a high-speed chase through Seneca Falls on Tuesday.
Deputies attempted to pull over 23-year-old Ryan A. Borrell after they clocked him doing 74 MPH in a 40 zone while passing a car on Bayard Street Extension on his motorcycle.
Deputies say Borrell sped away, failing to stop at the intersection of Bayard Street and Route 89. They say Borrell then continued north on Route 89, hitting speeds of nearly 100 mph while passing cars.
Borrell was eventually stopped on Hyatt Road.
He is now charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, speeding 74 MPH in a 40 zone, speeding 100 MPH in a 55 zone, failure to stop at a stop sign, unsafe passage, failure to keep right and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Borrell is being held in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.
He is due back in court on July 10.
