The Syracuse Orange are gearing up for their first Atlantic Coast Conference basketball game this weekend, and CNY Central is the only network that will bring it to you live.
The Orange host the University of Miami in their inaugural ACC contest on Saturday. You can watch the game live on WSTM-NBC3 starting at 2:00 p.m. The Orange, who finished the non-conference portion of their schedule at 13-0 with a victory Tuesday over Eastern Michigan, will welcome the defending ACC champion Hurricanes to the Carrier Dome.
We have had several viewers contact us with questions after noticing the game is not on Time Warner cable's program guide. Be assured the SU vs Miami game will be on WSTM-NBC3 (the TW guide incorrectly states the All-American Alamo Bowl will air.)
The Orange are led in scoring by senior forward C.J. Fair, who is averaging 17.4 points per game. Sophomore guard Trevor Cooney is next with 14.3 points per game, and is shooting 50% from three-point range. Freshman guard Tyler Ennis leads the team in assists with 5.4 per game, and sophomore Jerami Grant leads the team in rebounding with 5.9 per contest.
The Hurricanes are going through a rebuilding year after winning both the ACC regular season and tournament last year. They are led by senior guard Rion Brown, who averages 13.9 points per game, and guard Garrius Adams, who chips in 10.7.
NBC3 will also carry the Syracuse-Virginia Tech game in Blacksburg on Tuesday, January 7. That game tips off at 9:00 p.m.
