Watertown drive-by shooting suspect arraigned

Austin Scudera

A Watertown teen accused of a drive-by shooting earlier this week stood before a city judge Friday morning.

19-year-old Austin Scudera, of Main Street, was arraigned in Watertown City Court. He pleaded not guilty to second degree murder and first degree criminal use of a firearm.

Scudera is accused of a drive-by shooting that injured 24-year-old Robert Hunt III, of Three Mile Bay, early Sunday morning. Police say Scudera fired several shots at Hunt as he was sitting in his car on Ohio Street.

Judge Catherine Palermo set bail at $75,000 cash or $150,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 3.
