Westmoreland woman charged with DWI after crashed into parked car, tree

A Westmoreland woman was arrested and charged with DWI after crashing into a parked car and a tree at about 12:37 am Sunday, according to the Oneida County Sheriffâ??s Office.
Deputies say 49-year-old Denise M. Narrows was driving on West Carter Road when she side-swiped a SUV parked on the street. The SUV was empty at the time of the crash.
Deputies say Narrows then drove her car across the road and hit a tree head-on. Narrows was arrested and charged with failing to keep right, common law DWI, driving with BAC above .08% and aggravated DWI, according to Sheriffâ??s Deputies. It is reported that Narrows had a BAC of .18%; more than two times the legal limit.
Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage, according to deputies.
