A woman accused of stealing hundreds of dollars in Christmas gifts was arrested Thursday by Onondaga County Sheriffs Deputies.
Police say 28-year-old Patricia Morris-Girardin of Syracuse drove a U-Haul truck around the Towns of Camillus and Geddes and the Village of Solvay stealing Christmas gifts from front porches. Morris-Girardin, who is homeless, had about $800 worth of stolen packages in the truck, most of which were deliveries from UPS and FedEx.
The woman was charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.
Anyone living in the Town of Camillus, the Town of Geddes, or the Village of Solvay that believes they were victims of similar thefts is asked to call the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office at 435-2111.
