A woman was charged with a DWI after running a tractor trailer off the highway.
State police say around noon Friday 24 year old Brandy Ingersoll of Rodman was driving north on Interstate 81 in the Town of Richland when she lost control and hit the median guiderail.
Troopers say Ingersoll then drove her car back onto the highway and hit a tractor trailer, forcing it off the shoulder into a group of trees.
35 year old Bradley Hunold of Clay, the driver of the tractor trailer, was taken to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse to be treated for minor injuries. Ingersoll was also taken to Upstate for minor injuries.
Troopers say I-81 was shut down to one lane for about four hours while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Ingersoll was charged with DWI and other traffic violations. She's due to appear in the Town of Richland court on August 26.
