Good morning! Here is a look at your forecast at the bus stop this morning:
Temperatures: 18-22° for most of central New York.
Wind chills: 0-9° for most of central New York.
Sky condition & precipitation: Snow showers, flurries and localized heavier snow squalls are located over parts of CNY. Check out Interactive Doppler Radar and Triple Doppler Radar.
What should I wear outside?: A winter jacket will be necessary. A hat and gloves is also a good idea. Of course, it is ultimately your decision on what you think you and your children should wear.
Any notable driving condition issues?: Extreme snowfall overnight and currently on radar will make for very difficult driving conditions east of Lake Ontario and also in isolated spots over central and southern tier. Elsewhere, driving conditions are much better. Watch for all areas later this morning to see variable driving conditions as squalls should swipe through the area.
Special concerns: See above.
Afternoon ride home on the bus: Temperatures will be between 15-20°. Wind chill: 0-9°. Light snow showers and flurries. Wind will be NNW 10-20 MPH. The sun will set at 4:30pm.
