Your bus stop forecast for March 13

Good morning! Here is a look at your forecast at the bus stop this morning:

Temperatures: 5 to 10°.

Wind chills: -15 to -10° (below zero).

Sky condition & precipitation: Light snow continues for many areas. When there is steadier precipitation, check out Interactive Doppler Radar and Triple Doppler Radar.

What should I wear outside?: A winter jacket will be necessary. You will also need to wear a hat and gloves or mittens. Of course, it is ultimately your decision on what you think you and your children should wear.

Any notable driving conditions?: Road crews have been out doing their best job clearing the snow and putting that salt mixture down to melt the snow and ice that built up. However, keep in mind with temperatures this cold, the salt brine mixture is not as effective in melting the snow versus when the temperature is 25 to 32°. Most roads will still snow covered and slippery. Your neighborhood streets will be the worst roads you will encounter.

Special concerns: None.

Afternoon ride home on the bus: Temperatures will be near 15 to 20°. Wind chill: -5 to +2°. Wind will be NW 15-22 with gusts to 35 MPH. A mixture of sunshine and clouds with flurries possible. The sun will set at 7:08pm.
