Great New York State Fair is officially underway! Today is Dollar Day at the Fair.

Adult admission id $1 per person all day. Grounds close at 9 pm. Also, all the Midway rides will be $1 per ride. The Midway also closes at 9 pm.

On the music front today:

-The Doobie Brothers take the Chevy Court stage at 6:00 p.m.

-The Ice Farm Live! takes the Regional Artist Variety Stage at 10:30 am

-Jason J. follows at 11:30 am and again at 1:00 pm

-Michael & Anjela Lynn featuring the "Talented Ones" takes the Regional Artist Variety Stage at 2:30 pm and again at 3:45 pm.

-Hypnotist Michael Manlove is next up at 5:00 pm

-The Ice Farm Live! is again at 6:15 pm

-MoChester closes out the day with shows at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

These concerts are subject to change.

Our CNY Central team will be on the Fairgrounds to cover all the events and fun.

The American Red Cross is in desperate need of your blood donation, and the American Red Cross Bus is running a blood drive every day at the Fair from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. Donations of O negative, B negative and A negative blood are especially needed. All donors get a Red Cross t-shirt.

Amtrak is running five stops daily to the State Fair, thanks to an agreement with Governor Cuomo. For more information on these trips, and to buy tickets, click here.
