Wed, 19 Feb 2014 11:19:54 GMT — Good morning! Here is a look at your wake up forecast this morning: Temperatures: 20-35 across most of central New York. There is obviously a wide range of temperatures across our area this morning. Those with an easterly wind are colder. Those with a southerly wind are milder. Wind chills: 10-20 Sky condition & precipitation: A line of mixed precipitation and potential freezing rain showers will be passing into and through the area during and after the morning commute. Check out Interactive Doppler Radar to see the snow right down to street-level. Any notable driving condition issues?: Depending upon your exact temperature, any precipitation type will be possible. The steadiest and most consistent precipitation will be likely over areas especially south of the Route 20 corridor (over the southern third of our viewing area). My concern is regarding freezing rain and a coating of ice this morning for the southern third of our area including portions of Tompkins, Cortland, Chenango, Schuyler, Broome, Tioga and perhaps the southern sections of Cayuga, Onondaga, and Cortland counties. Be aware of potential hazardous or icy conditions later this morning. Special concerns: See above.. Afternoon plans: Temperatures will be near 40. Winds will be W 10-20 MPH. Wind chills will be between 30 and 33. Mostly cloudy with a chance for wet light snow showers or light rain showers. Sunset is 5:41 PM.
