Facebook Live conversation: Matt's Memo
We had greetings from Florida, North Carolina and Connecticut. Central New Yorkers transplanted into other regions and communities were saying hello as they watched Matt's Memo on Facebook Live this week. On our CNYCentral.com Facebook page viewers also contributed from Cooperstown, Williamstown and Brewerton. We invite you to join the conversation too.
Here's what we're doing. At 4:00 pm I sit down at the anchor desk and start talking about the biggest stories of the day. Today it was Hurricane Maria, President Trump at the U.N. and the problem with blue green algae in Skaneateles Lake. There's no script, just a conversation. We're throwing in a few graphics and some video to give it an appearance that mixes television with our social media world.
If you don't catch the live act, you can also go back to our CNYCentral.com Facebook page and watch the recorded version on demand. Share it with friends. Post more comments. Tell us what you like, what you don't. Someone commented on my tie today right after another commented about the President's comments about North Korea. We can be eclectic and off the cuff because it's Facebook Live.
We have posted a link to a couple of Matt's Memo FB Lives right here.
Here's a new opportunity to be part of a new conversation about the news and some other stuff. Each of the first two nights in addition to the serious news we have also talked about the upcoming Paul McCartney concert at the Carrier Dome this Saturday night.
