If you're having a bad day, you're probably in good company. According to a group of researchers, today, the first Monday of 2014, is the most depressing day of the year.
A British study looked at some two-million tweets over the past three Januarys, and found the first Monday of the year had the lowest happiness score of all of the days in the year.
The blue mood is blamed mostly on returns to work and school after the holiday break, but posts about breaking resolutions, being tired, not having enough money and struggling through the cold weather also contributed to the negativity.
The study, which was conducted by researchers with Upbeat, a company that makes protein beverages, found women tend to be more optimistic than men throughout the month of January.
