Ohio police officer buys car seats for family in need
According to the Hilliard Division of Police's Facebook page, during a traffic stop, Officer Schweickart noticed there were three children in the car, but only one was properly restrained. A 2-year-old and 3-year-old did not have car seats.
The officer then went to Target to purchase two car seats for the family using his own money.
HPD said he didn't realize he was being photographed by his supervisor.
"Our agency is proud to have officers with big hearts who go above and beyond for the community they serve," said HPD.
