President asks Congress to approve $3.7 billion to help woth crisis at the border

President Obama is asking Congress to approve $3.7 billion in funds to help fight the border battle in the southern United States.

The money would be used to bolster border protections and patrols, and would expedite the return of thousands of Central American children who have come into the country illegally since last October.

$1.8 billion would go to the Department of Health and Human Services to better house and care for kids and adults caught traveling with them. Other allotments will go to the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department, among others, to help stem the tide of illegal immigrant coming across the border.
