That Dr. Phil personality test you've seen on Facebook appears to be a hoax

If you are on Facebook, there is a good chance you have come across a link advertising a personality test endorsed by Doctor Phil. The post indicates Doctor Phil scored a "55" and that he even gave the test to Oprah who scored a "38." Those results, according to the test
, put Dr. Phil in the 'exciting and natural leader category.' Oprah would be in the 'sensible and caring category.'

But on Dr. Phil's website, he indicates that he does not have a personality test on the Internet. "Those people are ripping off my name, they are ripping off my trademark, they are ripping off the copyright. So, no, I don't have a personality test. It's bogus," Dr. Phil says.

The website
which bills itself as "the definitive Internet reference source for urban legends, folklore, myths, rumors, and misinformation" says the Dr. Phil personality test going around on Facebook is a hoax. The website says it reviewed program listings and transcripts and can not find any evidence that Dr. Phil endorsed this test, much less gave it to Oprah.
