When the ground in a Baltimore neighborhood started to give way this week because of too much rain, a lot of people started recording the event on their smartphones. This video has gone viral, because the end of it is stunning. Cars, light poles, and more seem to vanish.
Officials say people who live in houses where this happened may have to be kept out of their homes for up to 40 days.
A sidewalk and retaining wall in Baltimore's Charles Village neighborhood buckled and caved in Wednesday afternoon, swallowing a streetlight and more than half a dozen cars. No one was injured.
