University of South Florida bans 'selfies' at graduation

The selfie craze has taken over the nation, especially on college campuses. Now, students at the University of South Florida may be out of luck if they try to snap that selfie of them at graduation.

USF has officially banned selfies for graduating students. The school has gone as far as to threaten the withholding of a studentâ??s degree if theyâ??re caught taking that mobile self-portrait.

Freshman Jasmine Alicea talked about the effect of banning selfies. "I think It definitely takes the fun out of graduation because a lot of people will be very excited walking across the stage to get their diploma.â??
