Link between exercise & a healthy brain?
A research project at Syracuse University is looking for volunteers, in a study that's measuring how the brain and blood vessels are affected by exercise.
Wesley Lefferts is running the study through the Department of Exercise Science in SU's School of Education.
Volunteers---adults who are 45 to 64 years old, with normal or high blood pressure are being recruited for the study. Check for full details
Leffert is an exercise science researcher with the School of Education at Syracuse University. He is looking for 60 volunteers, and hopes to have the testing done by this fall (each volunteer's 'work' is about 3 weeks), with results by next year.
He hopes to show that good blood flow to the brain slows the aging process, and that exercise which encourages blood flow, is essentially a medicine.
