Toyota High School Athletes- Reid Jackowski and Isaac Dow of LaFayette

LaFayette's Isaac Dow runs the fast break in a recent win over Fabius-Pompey (Matt Hauswirth)

In 2017, the LaFayette Lancers boys basketball team missed the Section III playoffs by a single game.

That sting served as an entire year of motivation.

Enter 2018, the Lancers are 9-3 and show no signs of slowing down, let alone missing Sectionals.

While they may be young, it is certainly one of the most impressive coaching jobs in the storied career of head coach Jerry Kelly who has coaches in uniform on the floor.

Isaac Dow and Reid Jackowski lead the Lancers with attitude and skill.

For Dow's part, he leads the team with more than 200 on the season. That's an average of 17 points per game. For Jackowski's part, his 11 points per game are equally complimented by maturity and sportsmanship.

The Lancers' next game is against DeRuyter and while there's still a couple weeks to go until playoffs get going, rest assured nobody in Section III wants to run into LaFayette.
