Syracuse University basketball continued their preseason tour through Canada with a 77-35 trouncing of Bishop??s University Thursday night.
Trevor Cooney, who struggled Wednesday night against McGill, bounced back by scoring 13 points and draining four shots from behind the arc.
Freshman B.J. Johnson led all scorers with 20 points for the Orange while Jerami Grant chipped in 10 points, including some explosive slams.
C.J. Fair, who sat out the entire second half after taking a tumble in the McGill game, did not play Thursday night in order for him to rest and heal. He suffered a bruised knee against McGill and was held out as a precaution.
The Orange will head to Ottawa Friday night for a Game against Carleton at 7pm. Carleton, who beat Wisconsin of the Big-10 Wednesday night, is thought to be Syracuse??s biggest challenge on this Canadian tour. They are perennial contenders for the Canadian National Championship.
