The comeback kids from the 'Cuse did it again.
Syracuse, just like it did against South Florida, erased a double-digit first half lead and won a football game.
But this is one is program changing.
Syracuse defeated the Missouri Tigers of the SEC 31-27 on the road and in the process clinches a bowl bid for the 2012 season.
The bowl bid, which will most likely be the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium or the Belk Bowl in Charlotte, NC will be the Orange's second bid to the post season in the last three seasons.
Jerome Smith scored his 3rd touchdown of the season to tie the ball game with the Tigers at 24 in the 4th quarter before Missouri kicked a 46 yard field goal to take a 27-24 lead.
But with 1:20 left in the game, Ryan Nassib executed a phenomenal drive with three huge completions to Alec Lemon to lead SU to the four point win.
Nassib connected with Lemon on 4th and 10 from the Missouri 36 yard line and on the very next play for the game winning touchdown to seal the game, and the bowl bid.
Nassib, a senior, was 26-40 passing for 385 yards and two touchdowns. Lemon caught both of those scores and in all, garnered a whopping 244 receiving yards on the day.
Syracuse closes out the season on Friday, battling Temple on the road at 11 a.m. at Lincoln Financial Field.
