It's entirely possible that Syracuse Basketball will still make the NCAA Tournament.

The hopes of that though, just took a major hit.

The Orange was listless in the second half of an 85-70 loss to Boston College. It's the second year in a row the Orange has lost by 15 points at Conte Forum.

The loss drops the Orange to 18-12 overall and 7-10 in the ACC.

Syracuse was trailing 27-14 in the first half before a major rally got them within a point thanks to 20 first half points from Tyus Battle.

Battle finished the night with 29 points, spectacular the whole game. Oshae Brissett scored 18 while Frank Howard scored 17. The problem is, only six points were scored by other players (4 by Paschal Chukwu, 2 for Matthew Moyer)

In the second half, the Orange allowed an early Eagles run and could never quite recover the rest of the way.

Boston College was red hot from three point range, nailing 14 from distance at a clip of 51%. Ky Bowman and Jerome Robinson scoring 23 and 22 points respectively.

Syracuse now is most likely in need of a win over Clemson in its last game of the regular season along with a couple victories at the ACC Tournament in order to make the Big Dance.

That game with Clemson is at 2pm Saturday on NBC3.
