Syracuse University Athletics has now confirmed via its website, Cuse.com that Tyler Ennis will indeed enter the 2014 NBA Draft.
Ennis released the following statement through the University's Athletic Dept. "I'd like to thank Coach Boeheim, the coaching staff, my teammates and the amazing fans of Syracuse for the opportunity to play at a great university like Syracuse," said Ennis. "I feel this experience has helped prepare me to fulfill my lifelong dream â?? to play in the NBA."
Earlier in the day, ESPN Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman sent one tweet, that sent shockwaves through the Syracuse University fanbase that really started the rumor mill this afternoon.
The tweet reads "Syracuse freshman Tyler Ennis will leave for NBA, sources told ESPN."
Ennis will assuredly be taken in the first round, probably within in the top-15 picks.
Ennis averaged nearly 13 points per game in his only season on the SU hill, and now all eyes turn to Jerami Grant as he mulls his future in Orange.
