Syracuse Basketball never stops, as the slogan hanging in the Carrier Dome says. And that is true, without question, but it did start slow on Monday night.
So the Orange looked to its youngest players- freshmen DaJuan Coleman, Trevor Cooney, and Jerami Grant to combine for 36 points en route to a 36 point win (84-48) over Eastern Michigan.
Grant, Cooney, and Coleman scored 11, 11, and 14 points respectively after Syracuse found itself in an early 10-3 hole.
But when SU was down 12-8, J-D grad Brandon Triche tipped in a layup that helped spark a 27-5 run to end the first half.
The second half, was all Orange all the time as Syracuse rolled to victory matching the final score from last year's win over Eastern Michigan.
Michael Carter-Williams once again flirted with a triple-double scoring 11 points, dishing out 11 assists and grabbing 7 rebounds. He was one assist shy of the milestone mark against Arkansas.
Speaking of the Arkansas game, James Southerland netted 35 points against the Razorbacks, he scored just 4 points on 2-9 shooting.
SU is next in action Thursday, when it hosts Long Beach State at 8pm on ESPNU.
