NCAA Lacrosse Tournament Roundup: Where are the local schools playing?

The Syracuse men's lacrosse team was able to take care of business on Saturday, defeating Colgate on Senior Day from the Carrier Dome. The Orange will now play one more home game against Cornell in the NCAA Tournament.

It's time for what we like to call "May Madness" here in Central New York.

In list form, here's a look at the schools we're tracking on their quest for a National Championship:

Junior College (NJCAA):

Onondaga Community College Mens Lacrosse is hosting the Final Four and National Championship at Chuck Wilbur Field this weekend.

OCC will take on Howard CC Saturday, the winner of that game will play the winner of Genesee CC and Nassau CC for the National Title on Sunday.

The OCC Womens Lacrosse team meets Harford CC in Rochester this Saturday. With a win, a rematch is likely with powerhouse Monroe CC.

Division III:

There's a wide range of schools from Central New York playing in the men and womens Division III Tournament.

SUNY Cortland's Mens team is playing Wesleyan (Conn.) in Middletown, CT on Wednesday at 4pm

The Red Dragons Womens Lacrosse team is playing Plymouth State in Amherst, MA on Saturday afternoon.

The Ithaca College Mens Lacrosse team is home on Wednesday against Stevenson at 4:00 p.m.

Morrisville State College finds both its men and womens programs in the NCAA Tournament as well.

The Mustang Mens team meets Eastern in Salisbury, MD with the winner meeting the mighty Salisbury Seagulls.

The Womens squad from Morrisville takes on Westfield State in Gettysburgh, PA on Saturday

RIT from the Rochester area, of course, is also in the big dance.

In Division II, our focus is on Le Moyne College:

The Dolphins Mens team takes on Seton Hill from just outside Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday.

The Womens team meanwhile, hosts its first game on Saturday against an opponent yet to be determined.

In Division I, all eyes are on the Syracuse Orange vs. Cornell Big Red matchup on the Mens side which is a Central New York lacrosse fan's dream come true. That matchup is Sunday night at 7:15 p.m.

Albany is the 2-seed in the mens bracket.

On the Womens side, Syracuse plays at Princeton to start its NCAA Tournament journey. That game is on Friday at 4pm
