For the first time in conference play, and the first time in more than two weeks Syracuse Basketball is back on the road.

The Orange is at Wake Forest, a team that struggled to a 1-4 start only to rebound to its current 7-6 mark.

It's also a team that has never beat Syracuse. The Orange leads the all-time series 5-0 with four of those wins coming during Syracuse's time in the ACC.

Despite this, Wake is favored by two points.

The Demon Deacons, you could make the argument, made the NCAA Tournament Play-In game in lieu of the Orange despite Syracuse winning by five last season.

This year's Wake squad looks much different.

Gone is all-league performer John Collins but a dynamic duo of guards in Bryant Crawford and Brandon Childress are crucial to the Demon Deacons attack, not to mention leading scorer Keyshawn Woods.

Down low, Doral Moore is averaging a near double-double with 10 points and 7 assists per game, a workout for Paschal Chukwu to stay out of foul trouble.

Syracuse is coming off perhaps its most impressive win of the year from a standpoint that it held Virginia Tech 35 points below its per-game scoring average in a 68-56 win.

A victory would continue momentum for Syracuse as it continues to exceed expectations with several close victories.

"This team has been good. We have had a lot of tough games. They have made a lot of good plays in tough games" Jim Boeheim said after Sunday's win over Virginia Tech.

Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night and the game is televised by ESPN U.
