Quinta could quite well be a star for SU Football

The SU Football team's fans have been focused on transfer quarterback Drew Allen for the better part of the week.

But by the weekend, perhaps it'll be another transfer that has Orange Nation's attention.

Quinta Funderburke transferred to Syracuse from Arkansas before last season, but had to sit out the 2012 season because of NCAA transfer rules.

Funderburke was highly recruited out of high school where he was the teammate of SU defensive back Jaston George.

Quinta has shown freakish athletic ability in the spring, including hauling in an acrobatic touchdown catch from Charley Loeb.

He'll have three season to wear Orange and no doubt, Orange fans will remember their first glimpse of Funderburke in game action if they attend Saturday's Spring Game at the Carrier Dome (12:00 p.m., free admission)

Quinta joins an already talented receiving corps that includes Jarrod West, Jeremiah Kobena and Christopher Clark among others.
