Source: Recruits not affected by Fine investigation

As the investigation into SU Basketball Associate Head Coach Bernie Fine continues, many Syracuse fans have wondered not just what would be a result of the investigation, but also how it would affect the future of the SU basketball program.

2014 super recruit Isaiah Whitehead is interested in SU. However, for a short time this weekend fans worried that he wasn't anymore. His mother was mistaken, thinking that allegations of sexual abuse were levied against SU's head coach. That isn't the case, and Whitehead says Syracuse is still on his list.

We wondered though, if other players were giving the Orange the cold shoulder in light of recent events.

Sources tell me tonight that many of SU's top recruiting targets for the Class of 2013 and 2014 are not affected by the allegations against Coach Fine. They say their interest in the Orange is unwavering, and based on many things, not just Bernie Fine. Some of the recruits the source mentioned are very high ranking players for their respective classes.

Keep checking CNY Central for the latest details on the Bernie Fine investigation.
