SU basketball fans encouraged to get to the Dome early Saturday

S yracuse University is encouraging fans to hit the road early for the men's basketball team's Saturday bout against North Carolina, with large crowds expected.

More than 31,000 fans are expected for one of the most anticipated ACC games in the Orange's inaugural season. Fans with tickets are encouraged to arrive early to avoid traffic delays and large lines at done entrances. Fans without tickets can also use the 'Print at Home' option when buying tickets online to avoid long lines at the box office.

All University parking lots will open at 9:00 Saturday morning, with the Dome opening at 10:00. According to the school, all Stadium west and campus lots are sold out. Fans who do not have a parking permit (season or individual game) are invited to use the Skytop parking lot ($15 per car), which will open at 9:00.

The Dome backcourt will have activities including a photo booth, giveaways, and a chance to win tickets to the ACC Tournament in North Carolina.

North Carolina comes to the Dome fresh off a home loss to Miami, a team that Syracuse beat by just 5 last weekend. Syracuse is coming off its first road win of the ACC conference slate against Virginia Tech. The Orange is 15-0, ranked #2 in the nation, and is the top team in the ACC. Tip-off is at noon.
