Syracuse flushing Florida State loss away- focused on Pitt, bowl bid

SYRACUSE â?? The Syracuse Orange look to rebound from the ugly loss to Florida State as they welcome familiar foe Pittsburgh to the Carrier Dome this Saturday.

Coming off the wrong end of a 59-3 blowout, the Orange arenâ??t forgetting the sting that it left behind.

â??Where I come from, itâ??s hard for me to let stuff like that go,â?? Ashton Broyld, sophomore running back said. â??But itâ??s over, itâ??s a new week, and we get a chance to go make it right.â??

After defeating Pittsburgh last season for the first time since 2004, the Orange will look to make it two straight against the Panthers as just one more win will make Syracuse bowl eligible.

â??Weâ??re in the same position that we were a year ago, the same exact position,â?? Jay Bromley, senior defensive tackle said of the Orange being on the verge of bowl eligibility. â??Itâ??s nothing new. We just want to go out, get a win and get the bowl thing out of the way.â??

Syracuse will have a chance to do just that when they take on the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday at the Carrier Dome at 12:30 p.m.
