Syracuse Football wins Rodeo Bowl by beating Minnesota 6-1

Coach Scott Shafer accepts the "Rodeo Bowl" Trophy

It's probably the only time in their lives they'll ever be able to say they won a rodeo trophy.

But it's exactly what Syracuse University Football players can say tonight.

The Orange crushed Minnesota in the annual Rodeo Bowl at the Texas Bowl by a 6-1 score, ensuring at least one trophy coming home with Syracuse this week.

The clinching move?

Charley Loeb and Jarrod West didn't drop the hay once in the hay bale toss to clinch victory for Syracuse.

The actual bowl game itself is Friday night in Houston at Reliant Stadium, the Orange is looking for its third straight bowl victory.
