Syracuse men's and women's basketball teams host Orange Madness

Syracuse University's basketball teams gave fans a preview of the upcoming season as part of the traditional Orange madness at the Carrier Dome. Jim Boeheim was brought into the Carrier Dome in a New York City taxi and players from last season received their Final Four rings.

Highly touted freshman point guard Tyler Ennis showed fans he could run the offense and score during a scrimmage and Duke transfer Michael Gbinije won the dunk contest. Forward C.J. Fair, redshirt sophomore Trevor Cooney and Gbinije all showed they could make tough three point shots during the scrimmage. Cooney went 6-9 from behind the arc and led all scorers in the scrimmage with 24 points.
