If youâ??re going to the Syracuse-Duke basketball game on Saturday, leave early. Thatâ??s the word from Syracuse Police.
As youâ??ve no doubt heard by now, Syracuse University is expecting a record crowd of 35,446 fans for first ever ACC matchup between the two schools. Because of the expected large turnout, police are advising fans that they should expect traffic delays and say itâ??s a good idea to try to get to the Carrier Dome a little earlier than usual.
Police say fans should avoid trying to park near the Dome unless you have a parking permit. Otherwise, youâ??re advised to use the South Campus Skytop lot on east Colvin Street and take a shuttle bus to the quad.
Police also warn that illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, which could cost $175 after towing fees are added.
