What's wrong with the Orange? Syracuse loses to lowly Georgia Tech

Even without Jerami Grant in the lineup, nobody expected what we saw in the Carrier Dome on Tuesday night.

#7 Syracuse falls to Georgia Tech, a team that improves to just 14-16 this season, by a score of 67-62.

Syracuse took a 9-6 lead early on, but never again took the lead after that.

Georgia Tech big man Daniel Miller was sensational with 15 points and 6 blocks.

Syracuse (26-4) struggled again offensively, and no doubt that issue wasn't helped with the absence of Jerami Grant, who sat out with a sore back that has been bothering him for weeks.

Syracuse finishes its Carrier Dome record at 16-2, with the only losses to squads at the very bottom of the ACC standings in Boston College and Georgia Tech. Despite home wins over North Carolina, Duke, and Villanova to name a few.

As for the ACC Tournament, the loss doesn't affect Syracuse too much, as the Orange has already clinched the all-important double bye. However, another "bad" loss like this could hurt the Orange's seeding in the NCAA Tournament.

SU closes out the regular season at Florida State on Sunday before heading to Greensboro for the ACC Tournament next week.
