The #1 Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team (9-1, 6-1 NE-10) fell at home to #2 Adelphi (10-0, 7-0 NE-10) 13-11 on Saturday afternoon.
It was a back and forth battle, with the Dolphins taking a slim 3-2 lead after the first quarter. But, Adelphi scored three goals in a row towards the end of the first half, going into the locker room leading 5-4.
Two separate Tim Daly goals in the third quarter increased Adelphi's lead to just two in each instance, and then Salvatore Tuttle scored back to back goals at the end of the quarter to give Adelphi the 11-8 lead going into the final quarter.
Andrew Chadderdon scored two goals in the fourth, but it wasn't enough, as Adelphi went on to win 13-11.
Mike Jenkins had two goals and three assists in the loss for the Dolphins, while Kevin Kelly scored a hat trick in the loss as well.
The Dolphins are back in action next Saturday, taking on Franklin Pierce in another league battle.
