18 holes of Central New York- #2 at Liverpool

The view from behind the 2nd green at Liverpool. Notice the moat in the foreground that wraps around the green, connecting with the larger pond in front.

Every golf fan knows about the "Island Green" at The Players Championship- Sawgrass.

But did you know you don't have to fly south to play an island green?

Liverpool Country Club offers that very challenge. It's the 2nd hole on the course and it provides a mighty challenge.

The hole plays 130 yards from the white tees, and while that part doesn't sound too tough....hold on.

There's close to 100 yards of water separating you at the tee from that green, but don't give your shot too much because a moat wraps around the back of the green that can sink your ball just as easily.
