8 is great- Syracuse Chiefs win 8th straight game

The Syracuse Chiefs beat the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs 4-3 on Tuesday earning the team's 8th straight victory.

There was supposed to be a doubleheader on Tuesday, but the second game was rained out. That game will be made up on Wednesday as part of a doubleheader starting at 5:00 p.m.

Despite trailing in the top of the first inning, the Chiefs responded quickly when Emmanuel Burris ripped a triple, he would score on a ground out by Jeff Kobernus.

Syracuse took the lead for good in the third when the triple threat of Stephen Souza, Jr, Tyler Moore, and Zach Walters all brought home runs.

Lehigh Valley cut the deficit to one, but couldn't get any closer.
