Barely a blip- two losses hardly lessen Chiefs' lead on division

A wedding in the outfield at NBT Bank Stadium may have been the highlight of the day for the Syracuse Chiefs.

The Chiefs, after blasting Lehigh Valley by a combined 23-2 over the past two days lost both of its games to the IronPigs on Saturday.

Lehigh Valley beat Syracuse 4-2 in game one, and 5-0 in game two. Of the 14 innings played, scoring occurred in just four of the innings.

There is a silver lining though.

The Chiefs may have lost twice but Rochester also fell on Saturday night, meaning Syracuse's lead on the International League's North Division falls from 6 games to just 5.5.

Syracuse hosts another doubleheader with Lehigh Valley on Sunday starting at 5:00 p.m. That game will be preceded by a Pig Roast at 3:00 p.m.
