After the SU men's lacrosse team defeated Notre Dame 10-4 on Saturday and the SU women's lacrosse team beat Georgetown on Sunday, both teams are now preparing for the Big East Tournament.
The men (11-3, 5-1) earned a 2-seed and face Notre Dame (10-3, 4-2), the 3-seed, at 4:30 p.m. at Villanova Stadium in the first semifinal on Thursday. That game will be televised on ESPNU.
Villanova (6-7, 5-1), who beat the Orange this season, earned the 1-seed. They face 4-seed Georgetown (6-8, 3-3) at 7 p.m. in the second semifinal.
The conference championship game will be on Saturday at 12 p.m. The winner will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
As for the women, Syracuse earned the 1-seed after their second straight undefeated Big East regular season. They will take on 4-seed UConn in the first semifinal at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Georgetown earned the 2-seed and will take on 3-seed Loyola in the other semifinal on Thursday after the SU game. The championship game is Saturday at 1 p.m. Georgetown will host all of the game of the women's Big East Tournament.
