PGA tour winners, major champions, Ryder Cup participants and FedEx Cup playoff winner hopefuls were in Central New York on Wednesday, taking part in the Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge.
Golfers Jhonattan Vegas, Louis Oosthuizen, Jonas Blixt and Angel Cabrera made up the International Team, while Notah Begay III, Jimmy Walker, Patrick Reed and Erik Compton were on the United States team. It was a close battle at Turning Stone's Atunyote Golf Club, but the International team made more birdies and eagles, winning -20 to -18.
The Notah Begay III Foundation received a check for $250,000 after the event, which has raised millions for the charity.
Tiger Woods was orginally scheduled to play in the event, but a back injury has forced him off the golf course. He appeared at a special dinner for the charity on Tuesday night.
