Billy Dunn rides full tank to first-ever Super DirtCar Series win in the Syracuse 200

Billy Dunn wins the Syracuse 200 on Sunday

Super Dirt Week at the New York State Fairgrounds finished in exciting fashion, with a first time winner in the Super DIRTcar Series getting the checked flag and the $50,000 prize.

The end of the Syracuse 200 was filled with cautions and restarts, and Billy Dunn outlasted the rest of the pack to clinch his first-ever Super DIRTcar Series victory.

The turning point in the race for Dunn was to make a pit stop on lap 167, giving him fuel for the rest of the race, which had been relatively clean until that point. Stewart Friesen had the lead at lap 197, but ran out of gas, leaving the race and the title to Dunn.
