Both SU men and women's lacrosse teams advance to Big East Tournament final

The SU men's and women's lacrosse teams won their respective Big East Tournament semifinal matchups on Thursday evening, advancing to the Championship on Saturday.
First, the men won their rematch with Notre Dame 9-3 in Villanova Stadium. Derek Maltz and JoJo Marasco both had four points to lead the Orange to the championship game. The Orange will face Villanova on Saturday at 12 p.m. on ESPNU in the championship game.
Freshman Kayla Treanor scored six points, becoming the highest goal scorer in school history, to lead Syracuse to a 19-6 victory over UConn in the women's semifinal. Treanor had four goals and two assists, while SU junior Alyssa Murray scored three goals and had two assists. The Orange plays in the Big East Championship on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Georgetown.
