For the first time in more than thirty years a Baldwinsville Little League team is heading to the state tournament.

The B'ville U12 softball team won their district and sectional tournaments, and showed composure during four 'win or go home' games.

The team beat F/M 6-5 in dramatic walk-off fashion to win the district tournament.

B'ville Head Coach Darren Petragnani says it was sweet revenge for some of the girls on the team who lost to F/M in the championship game just two years ago.

In sectionals they took down Waterloo in the championship game 16-5.

Next, the team heads to Fishkill, NY for the state tournament which will begin Wednesday evening.

They are one of eight teams playing for the chance to represent New York in the regional tournament which will take place in Bristol, CT.

"As a coach, I'm humbled and beyond blessed to be able to coach such an amazing group of kids. The laughs and smiles, tears of joy and lifetime memories they have provided to me, my fellow coaches and family members are priceless beyond words," Coach Darren Petragnani said.
