The Syracuse Crunch players who won a Calder Cup last season as the Norfolk Admirals got their Championship rings earlier this week, a reminder of how special that group of players was, and potentially still is.
"It was really special. It was a remarkable season, " says Crunch goalie Dustin Tokarski, " we had so many accomplishments and to cap it all off, we win the whole thing".
It's something Tokarski says his team plans on repeating this year in Syracuse, and he's relishing his role as the last line of defense on a team that now finds themselves defending their Calder Cup Title.
"Every save on this team matters because we have so much offensive fire power ," explains Tokarski, " If we have a tough start or a tough first few periods, and we're down 2,3,4,5 goals, there is always a chance with this team. That's the kinda fight guys have inside them, there is no giving up man.
